Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students' growth in an engaging school environment near Tenino, WA, as a School Psychologist. This contract position offers an excellent hybrid model—enjoy a blend of four days onsite and one remote workday each week. With a scheduled start January 5th through June 12th (additional days added for snow closures if necessary), this role is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with potential for up to 40 hours with prior approval. You'll serve three sites, primarily at the elementary level, with opportunities to work in high school settings—and possibly preschool, depending on your preference and experience. Your caseload averages one psychologist per 1,000 students with approximately 60 initial evaluations yearly (not counting re-evaluations), ensuring meaningful impact without overwhelming demands.
Key Qualifications:
WA State Psychologist License (required) Driver's license and Social Security card for eligibility verification Over 2 years of experience is highly preferred; strong new graduates will be considered Comfortable working across elementary and high school populations; preschool experience welcomed Familiar with testing for initials, re-evaluations, referrals, and managing caseloadsRole Expectations:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Provide support and recommendations based on evaluation results Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain timely and accurate documentation You'll benefit from a flexible hybrid schedule and a competitive hourly rate of $50-$60, based on your experience.
