Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role serving students for the 2026-27 school year as a dedicated school psychologist. This contract engagement, located near Barre, VT, offers the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment committed to student development and well-being. The position runs from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027 and follows a 37.5 hour workweek. Caseload details will be determined post-internal postings, with specifics discussed during the interview process to ensure the best fit for both your expertise and the student community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current certification meeting all Vermont state requirements for school psychologists Prior experience in school settings preferred, demonstrating knowledge of assessment, counseling, and crisis response Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with the latest psychological assessment tools, interventions, and counseling techniques appropriate for youth Ability to provide in-person services; remote/virtual options are not available at this timeKey Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, interpret results, and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Support students through individual and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention services Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student growth Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines As you bring your professional skills and passion for supporting youth, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the school community and making a direct difference in students' academic and personal lives throughout the school year.
