Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by providing essential psychological services to students through extended school year (ESY) compensatory support. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals dedicated to helping students reach their full potential within the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active School Psychologist license for Alabama (AL) Strong experience working in educational settings, particularly with school-age children Ability to deliver targeted compensatory services in compliance with ESY requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Adaptability to varying weekly schedules and caseloads during the contract period Commitment to on-site work; virtual/remote and travel options are not available for ESY services
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and direct services to students requiring compensatory support as part of their ESY provision Collaborate with special education teams to develop, implement, and monitor student progress and individualized service plans Document assessment findings, intervention progress, and service delivery according to school and state guidelines Maintain open and effective communication with educators and families to facilitate student growth and well-being Participate in staff meetings and contribute expertise on psychological services for students with varying needs Adjust work schedules as necessary to accommodate student requirements throughout the summer session This position runs from June 15th to July 30th, 2026, with typical hours from 7:45 AM to 2 PM.
