Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take on a pivotal role supporting students across Pre-K through 8th grade with this contracted opportunity for experienced school psychologists near Plainfield, IL. This position offers diverse caseloads and the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners' academic and emotional well-being. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work from home one day each week.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid state licensure and certification as a school psychologist Previous experience working with Pre-K-8th grade students preferred Expertise in leading and scheduling eligibility meetings Comfortable taking a leadership position on a multidisciplinary diagnostic team Proficient with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) problem-solving Skilled in scheduling and conducting initial psychoeducational evaluations Demonstrated strength in screening, consultation, evaluation, and intervention practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a leader within the school's diagnostic team, contributing to comprehensive evaluations and team-based student support decisions Coordinate, schedule, and lead eligibility meetings for student support services Conduct and oversee initial evaluations for students in need of interventions or services Actively participate in MTSS problem-solving processes, providing targeted consultation and recommendations Employ evidence-based practices in assessment, intervention, and support planning Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote positive outcomes for students
