School Psychologist

Duties Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on child & family counseling, social skills development, and behavioral health. Manage crisis intervention situations by creating safety plans and providing immediate support during behavioral or emotional emergencies. Collaborate with educators to develop effective behavior management strategies and support students with disabilities or developmental delays. Facilitate early intervention programs and conduct intake assessments for students requiring specialized services. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records of psychological testing, progress notes, and case management reports in compliance with school policies. Offer training sessions for staff on topics such as conflict management, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and social work principles. Work closely with families to coordinate services, provide resources for mental health support, and ensure consistent care across settings. Support students' social-emotional development by designing programs that promote positive behavior management and resilience. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential. Proven experience working with children in educational settings; prior school experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, psychological testing methods, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.

Pay:

$55.00 - $71.00 per hour
