Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful School Psychologist contract role spanning January 5th to June 12th, supporting students at the elementary and high school levels, with preschool opportunities potentially available. This position offers a dynamic hybrid schedule: four days onsite at three different sites near Centralia, WA, and one day each week working from home. Flexibility is key, as additional days may be required if snow days extend the school year. With a caseload serving approximately one psychologist per 1,000 students, your primary focus will be testing for initial and re-evaluations, handling referrals, and managing a varied caseload. Expect to complete around 60 initial evaluations over a full academic year, not counting re-evaluations and other assessments. Applicants with over two years of experience are highly preferred, though confident and skilled new graduates are also considered. A WA State License is required, along with the ability to clear OSI database fingerprinting. Please have a valid driver's license and a copy of your Social Security Card ready for compliance checks.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
WA State License for School Psychologists Minimum two years of relevant school-based experience (strong new grads considered) Comfortable working with elementary and some high school students; willingness to serve preschoolers is a plus Familiarity with initial and re-evaluations, referrals, and large caseloads Capacity to work across three different school sites in a hybrid model Strong organizational and testing skills
