Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity where your expertise as a School Psychologist supports high school students (ages 14-22) in a nurturing educational setting. This full-time position offers a balanced schedule—34 hours per week with four days on campus and a dedicated Wednesday for documentation and indirect work from home. The assignment spans from July 7th through May 28th, 2027, providing the chance to make a lasting impact over several school years.
Essential qualifications and experience:
Valid Arizona School Psychologist certification Previous experience working in secondary school environments (preferred) Proficiency in conducting student evaluations and observations Strong understanding of IEP processes, with experience attending and contributing to meetings Demonstrated ability to advocate for and promote mental health awareness within a school community Excellent written and verbal communication skills Collaborative team spirit paired with self-motivation for independent work Key responsibilities and duties: Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students within the specified age group Conduct classroom and individual observations to inform educational programming Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and service providers Develop strategies and interventions to enhance students' emotional and mental well-being Serve as an advocate for mental health awareness and provide consultation to staff and families Complete documentation and indirect work accurately and efficiently during your flexible home-hours Compensation for this position ranges from $45/hr to $56/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
