Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their well-being and academic growth as a School Psychologist in Providence, RI. This contract opportunity offers part-time or full-time hours, starting August 26, 2026, and running through June 15, 2027, with dates following the school calendar. The caseload will be assigned based on current needs and discussed further during the interview process, providing flexibility and variety to the assignment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and active state licensure as a School Psychologist (required) Experience with school-based psychological services strongly preferred Ability to work on-site; remote work is not available for this role Willingness to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Develop and implement intervention strategies for students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute insights to help shape student plans Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed within the school setting What to
