Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting student success in a dynamic educational setting located near Oakland, CA. This contract-based opportunity is designed for skilled, credentialed School Psychologists looking for full-time work during the 2026-2027 academic year. Collaborate with a large, dedicated department focused on providing tailored psychological support and assessments throughout the district.
Essential Qualifications:
Active and valid School Psychologist license (educator credential required; no counselor credentials considered) Experience supporting students' emotional, psychological, and academic needs within a school setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Flexibility and openness to working on-site, with the possibility of a 4 days on-site/1 day hybrid schedule pending district needs Willingness to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a contract basis during the academic year
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students as referred Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to implement effective interventions and support strategies Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and ongoing mental health support as needed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation Consult with district personnel on IEPs, RTI processes, and behavioral management plans
