QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.Knowledge of:
- Federal and State laws, codes, regulations and requirements pertaining to areas of assigned responsibility for special education;
- Principles, practices, methods and strategies applicable to special education curriculum development and strategies for implementation;
- Psychological and educational techniques, tests, materials, methods, theories and trends in assessing and identifying student learning and behavior characteristics.
Ability to:
- Must be approachable, empathetic, and highly organized. Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Understand and relate to children with special needs
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Maintain records, compile, and verify data and prepare reports
- Work independently with little direction
- Meet schedules and timelines
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Be highly organized
- First aid and
CPR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Experience:
- Prefer 3 years unsupervised work as a school psychologist.
Education:
- Clear California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a psychologist.
Desirable Qualifications:
