Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact on students' lives by providing school psychological services in a dynamic educational environment. Your expertise will help shape a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for young learners across preschool through fourth grade. This flexible contract position for the 2026-2027 school year (exact dates TBD) offers both onsite and remote opportunities to fit your preferred style of work, with a manageable weekly commitment of 21 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations for students in preschool through grade 4, with the potential to focus primarily on grades 1-4. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to identify student needs and develop effective interventions. Deliver psychological services that promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Ensure timely completion of evaluations and adherence to special education compliance and reporting requirements. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide consultation on student progress and support strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
Possession of a Master's degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology. Current approval as a School Psychologist from the Michigan Department of Education. Experience delivering psychological and consultative services in a school setting. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families, both onsite and virtually. Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
