School Psych | Providence, Rhode Island Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Providence, RI Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $45.50 - $65.50 an hour 13 days ago Qualifications School experience Practicing as a mental health professional Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. School psychologists play a crucial role in helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive at school. This contract opportunity, near Providence, RI, offers both part-time and full-time options, following the school calendar from August 26, 2026 through June 15, 2027. Ideal candidates will bring deep expertise in school psychology and a commitment to working onsite in a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active, valid state licensure as a school psychologist (must meet all state requirements) Proven track record working with children and adolescents in a school setting Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Experience with conducting assessments, developing interventions, and collaborating on IEP teams Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and needs at different school sites Flexibility and willingness to work in-person only
Role & Responsibilities:
Deliver psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to students Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans Consult and collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote students' well-being Support crisis intervention and prevention activities as needed Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records Address a dynamic caseload, with details discussed during the interview process This contract position accommodates both part-time and full-time schedules, and you'll work within an engaged district team dedicated to student support.
