Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for skilled School Psychologists ready to make a difference in educational settings near Providence, RI. These contract positions allow for either part-time or full-time availability and span the upcoming school year, following the academic calendar from late August to mid-June. Flexible caseloads can be tailored based on both school needs and candidate expertise; specific details will be discussed during the interview process. Qualified professionals are invited to bring their passion and experience to provide in-person psychological services, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster positive learning environments and support student achievement.
Key Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a School Psychologist (required and must be current) Experience conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and participating in student support teams Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Commitment to providing culturally competent, ethical psychological services Availability for the full contract term (academic year)
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct student evaluations and interpret assessment data to inform interventions Participate in meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans Deliver consultation, counseling, and crisis response services as needed Prepare and maintain detailed reports in compliance with state and federal educational regulations Engage in proactive outreach and support for teachers, students, and families
