Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students and schools as a School Psychologist in the dynamic community near Warwick, RI. These contract positions begin at the start of the new school year and run through mid-June, offering flexibility for part-time or full-time schedules. Engage with a diverse student population and champion positive learning environments by providing expert psychological services tailored to school needs. Successful candidates bring a keen understanding of behavioral, academic, and emotional assessment. With a commitment to in-person collaboration, you'll partner with staff and families to promote student well-being and help students access resources to thrive.
Qualifications:
Active state licensure qualifying you to practice as a School Psychologist Demonstrated proficiency in school-based evaluations, consultation, and counseling Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, educators, and families Ability to analyze data, develop intervention plans, and support implementation Commitment to professional ethics and ongoing development Availability for onsite work throughout the school year as required
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and needs Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Facilitate small group or individual counseling sessions Participate in IEP and 504 meetings; provide insights and recommendations Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state and school guidelines Engage in ongoing communication with parents, educators, and administrators Adapt support services based on evolving caseload requirements Embrace the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while enjoying flexibility in hours and a supportive educational environment.
