Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing essential psychological services within an engaging school setting on a contract basis. Located conveniently near Columbia, SC, this position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with faculty and contribute positively to student well-being and growth.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field Experience conducting evaluations, assessments, and developing intervention plans Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and staff Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing academic or behavioral challenges Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to recommend evidence-based strategies and interventions Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines Assist with crisis intervention, mental health awareness, and behavior management as needed Contribute to data-driven practices and ongoing program improvement Enjoy the fulfillment of impacting students' success in a vibrant school community while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
