Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time role this upcoming semester as a school psychologist, supporting students and staff during two consecutive maternity leaves. This contract opportunity runs from August 4th through the end of December, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week across five days. You'll primarily be working at an elementary site serving approximately 500 students, providing vital psychological services and ensuring educational and emotional support throughout the semester.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience working in educational settings, ideally with elementary-aged children Strong assessment, evaluation, and counseling skills Expertise in consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators to support individual student needs Ability to efficiently manage caseloads and documentation Flexibility to adapt to covering different needs as two leaves will be covered back-to-back
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, and prepare reports Provide individual and group counseling for students as needed Collaborate with educational staff on interventions and behavioral support plans Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to develop and review IEPs Support crisis prevention and intervention as necessary Serve as a knowledgeable resource for faculty and parents regarding students' emotional and behavioral concerns Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements Experience the opportunity to make a meaningful impact this semester while advancing your expertise as a school psychologist.
