Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in local schools this upcoming semester by supporting students' emotional and academic growth. This contract opportunity is ideal for licensed School Psychologists who thrive in dynamic educational settings. In this role, you'll provide essential coverage for two consecutive maternity leaves at an elementary school, working with a diverse student body of approximately 500 children. Your assignment will be full-time, spanning from August 4th through the end of December, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours each week. You'll collaborate with educators and administrators to foster a positive, supportive school environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification for Tennessee or the ability to obtain it Master's or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field Previous experience working in K-5 or elementary settings is preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results Provide direct support and interventions for students' academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs Develop and monitor IEPs and behavior plans Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in student support meetings and contribute to
