Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role helping students thrive as a full-time contract School Psychologist for the first semester. In this rewarding position, you'll provide vital support across two maternity leaves, making a real difference in young learners' lives. The assignment runs from August 4 through the end of December, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your primary site will be an elementary setting, serving a vibrant community of approximately 500 students. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster student success and well-being throughout the semester.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active School Psychologist certification for Tennessee (or eligibility) Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology Experience delivering psychological assessments and intervention strategies in elementary settings Strong communication and consultative skills, comfortable collaborating with diverse teams Familiarity with special education procedures and IEP processes
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and share findings in clear, actionable terms Develop and support effective intervention plans for academic, behavioral, and emotional needs Serve as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to eligibility and planning meetings Collaborate with educators and families to provide consultation, strategies, and professional guidance Deliver targeted counseling and crisis intervention when needed This contract role offers the opportunity to enrich your professional portfolio while working with a supportive staff in an energetic school community.
