REQUIRED
Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education; Educational diagnostician Certification, or associate School Psychologist Certification or Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologist as a Psychologist, or Certification as a Psychologist Associate, or Certification by the National Association of School Psychologists as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in an accredited school, or equivalent experience working in an institution for disabled individuals; Demonstrate ability to follow regulations and implement them firmly and impartially. The Educational Diagnostician must be knowledgeable of and able to implement local, state and federal polices and administrative regulations pertaining to educating and confidentiality, respect for family privacy, and the legislative rights of students with disabilities. Must be thorough in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently. Must be able to employ diagnostic strategies, management procedures, and resources most appropriate for meeting objectives stated in the district's appraisal program. Performs other duties assigned by the Administrator for Special Services in a manner consistent with the statutes and standards of regulatory agencies pursuant to school board policy.
