Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time School Psychologist supporting a dedicated 9th-grade center. In this vital role, you'll work alongside a collaborative team to deliver essential psychological services with a focus on evaluations, ARD meetings, and review of assessments, rather than counseling. You'll also play a key part in supporting elementary schools—partnering with a diagnostician to manage evaluation responsibilities. Leverage your expertise and make a meaningful difference across multiple school sites by ensuring students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs are identified through thorough assessments and professional participation in special education processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist Experience working in educational settings, preferably with high school and elementary students Strong grasp of assessment tools and procedures for school-based evaluations Comfortable collaborating with diagnosticians, teachers, and special education teams Knowledge of ARD meeting procedures and compliance requirements within public schools Effective communication skills for presenting evaluation findings to multidisciplinary teams and parents Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a shared workload across grade levelsKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for students, focusing on shared responsibilities with the elementary diagnostician Review and interpret evaluation results for use in developing appropriate educational plans Participate actively in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, providing guidance and expertise Consult with teachers, administration, and support staff regarding student needs and evaluation outcomes Maintain accurate and confidential documentation per state and federal requirements Collaborate with educators and professionals in a supportive environment where your skills have a direct impact on student success.
