Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students and their families as a School Psychologist in a well-respected educational setting near Plano, TX. This full-time, on-site position spans the entire academic year and offers the opportunity to work with either K-12 students or focus on elementary or middle school levels (final assignment to be determined). You will play a vital role in conducting psychoeducational evaluations—approximately 10 per month—and providing ongoing counseling for 6-8 students, depending on the level assigned. Your expertise will help foster a positive, supportive learning environment and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Hold a valid School Psychologist certification and licensure as required for practice in Texas. Experience working within K-12, elementary, or middle school populations preferred. Strong background in administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments. Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and write detailed reports. Deliver counseling services and support individualized education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote students' academic and social success. Maintain thorough, confidential records in compliance with school and state guidelines. Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed for the school community.
