Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated post-doctoral fellow in Neuropsychology to join our team of dedicated clinicians. In this vital role, you will assess individuals with neurocognitive conditions, with an emphasis on mild traumatic brain injuries and dementia. Training and supervision provided as part of this position. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in this position as our TBI assessments may be scrutinized in a legal setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care, and innovative neuropsychological practices with opportunities for growth and advancement. Our practice provides all back-office support services for the clinician such as patient scheduling, insurance pre-authorizations and billing, and records. We also provide all test protocols and materials. Our practice is in a Class-A office tower with very comfortable and modern furnishings with easy access to Hwy 59. We strictly adhere to maintaining a positive work/life balance for all our clinicians. We pride ourselves on providing our patients and their families with an exceptional experience, and our clinicians with a supportive professional environment. Work hours are Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm, with all national holidays off. There is no telecommute option with this position. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate cognitive functions, emotional health, and behavioral issues in patients with neurocognitive disorders. Provide specialized assessments for adult patients with mild traumatic brain injuries, dementia, seizures, and medication-induced cognitive disorders. Maintain meticulous documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Stay current with neuropsychological terminology, records management practices, and evolving standards in neuropsychology to deliver the highest quality patient care. Qualifications Post-doctoral fellow in Clinical Psychology with specialized training in Neuropsychology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and electronic health record systems. Excellent interpersonal skills combined with compassionate communication abilities for engaging with patients and families effectively. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including neurologists, psychiatrists, and care managers. Proficiency with using standard business software (MS Office, Adobe, Google G-Suite, etc.), electronic health records, and digital records, and ability to quickly learn new cloud-based software. Experience in diagnostic evaluations of persons with dementia or mild TBI considered a benefit. Experience with a variety of neuropsychological test instruments for assessing memory, attention, speech/language, visuospatial abilities, executive functioning, and mood considered a benefit Current student liability insurance required. Must be able to dress appropriately for a professional medical setting. Preferences At least 1 to 2 semesters of practicum or internship working with patients with mild traumatic brain injuries Bi-lingual Spanish speakers encouraged to apply Remuneration Remuneration is on a per-assessment basis, using a fee-split based upon experience and qualifications.
