Serve as a subject mter expert in a highly technical and specialized area of psychological health research and advisory services. Advise the Senior Medical Advisor on activities and functions pertaining to the evaluion of service-connected behavioral health issues and psychological health programs and projects. Provide medical expertise primarily pertaining to behavioral health issues, case review and reassessments, and medical interpretions to the requesting boards and panels of the agency. Continually research, prepare and present briefs and advisory opinions concerning all cases involving medical issues or reled policy interpretion. Routinely ensure the final assessment and individual final vote is fair and accure and is conducted in consonance with all applicable guidance. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Degree:

Doctoral Degree (Ph.D., PsyD, or equivalent) directly reled to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualificion requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience :

One year of specialized experience which includes performing case review to make approprie behavioral health board determinions; providing advisory services on behavioral health issues; making psychological assessments for the full range of psychiric pients normally found in psychiric or general medical hospitals or in community mental health centers.
