Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on an impactful opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting students in a thriving educational environment near Fredericksburg, Virginia. This contract position begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, offering full-time hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM each school day across two assigned schools. Your expertise will make a measurable difference in the lives of students and staff by providing essential assessment and consultation services.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Department of Education certification Current Virginia Psychology Licensure Strong background in assessment, FBA/BIP support, and collaborative student services Ability to initiate the VA Dept. of Social Services check immediately and undergo a required TB Test Experience working with diverse student populations and consultation with multidisciplinary teams
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and consult with staff to inform student supports Provide FBA/BIP support and participate in MTSS efforts as needed Serve as a resource to social workers, with occasional involvement in counseling support Collaborate closely with educational diagnosticians present in each building, ensuring clarity of roles Uphold district standards and maintain detailed, compliant documentation Maintain positive communication with staff and families throughout the assignment
