Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity supporting students and educators as a School Psychologist on a full-time contract basis near Fredericksburg, VA. This role offers the chance to be an integral part of a school's multidisciplinary team, providing essential services that promote student success and well-being.
Key Duties Include:
Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations Completing assessments necessary for determining special education eligibility Interpreting testing results and preparing detailed written reports Actively participating in eligibility, IEP, and parent meetings Collaborating closely with teachers, special education professionals, and administrators Supporting behavior intervention planning and delivering student-focused services Ensuring documentation and processes remain compliant and adhere to assigned deadlines
Qualifications Sought:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology Valid and active School Psychologist license or credential in Virginia Previous school-based experience is highly desirable Background in conducting evaluations, participating in IEPs, and eligibility determinations Demonstrated ability to write clear, thorough reports and communicate findings effectively Strong skills in collaboration and maintaining a robust team approach This position offers the chance to work 37.5 hours per week, giving you the stability of regular hours while making a meaningful difference in students' lives.
