Key Qualifications:
Valid and active Virginia School Psychologist license Experience or confidence working with K-12 student populations Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, intervention strategies, and special education processes Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for eligibility and intervention planning Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Provide individual and group counseling to support student social-emotional needs Consult and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student success Contribute to crisis intervention, problem-solving, and prevention initiatives within the school setting Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines This contract role provides you with a consistent, full-time schedule and the chance to make a sustained difference in the lives of students.
