Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity for two full-time School Psychologists to serve in a dynamic educational setting located in Norfolk, VA. The contract period runs from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. The caseload will be determined and assigned based on district needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer psychological testing and assessments for students. Develop comprehensive reports based on testing and observations. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing insights and recommendations. Provide counseling services and support behavior management initiatives as required. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development and learning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid credentials as a School Psychologist. Experience conducting various psychological assessments and report writing within school settings. Familiarity with IEP processes and legal requirements. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively. Background in counseling and behavioral interventions is preferred.
