Pay:
Depending on experience Full-Time Position Overview A school district in Norfolk, VA is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to provide assessment, intervention, and consultation services for K-12 students. Responsibilities Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results Complete comprehensive reports and present findings at eligibility and IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement Assist in developing behavior intervention plans and academic support strategies Provide consultation regarding social-emotional and behavioral concerns Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and special education processes Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required Active Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills Knowledge of special education procedures and compliance requirements Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Full-time schedule aligned with the school calendar Health, dental, and vision insurance options Professional development opportunities Supportive school and special education teams Potential for contract renewal and long-term placement Work Environment K-12 public school setting Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment Structured school-day schedule with no evenings or weekends requiredSchool Psychologist Norfolk, VA (Norfolk)
