Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our Special Education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students with diverse needs. This full-time position involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment that fosters student success and mental health. Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Provide direct counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and maintain a positive learning environment. Offer guidance and support to parents regarding their child's development and educational needs. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide programs. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or critical incidents. Stay current with best practices in school psychology and special education. Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health and educational strategies. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress. Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community. Familiarity with various psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
