Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school district in Portsmouth, VA, is seeking two full-time School Psychologists for the 2026-2027 academic year. These contract positions run from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. Ideal candidates will support student success through a range of psychological services within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological testing and assessments as part of student evaluations Prepare detailed reports to inform educational decisions Collaborate on Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation Provide counseling and behavior support services as designated Manage caseloads and related documentation effectivelyDesired Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed or certified as a School Psychologist Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations Strong skills in assessment administration and report writing Ability to contribute to counseling and behavior intervention plans Excellent communication and collaboration skillsLocation:
