Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students and educators in an engaging educational setting just south of Washington, DC. We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to work across two schools, providing vital psychological assessment and consultation services for a diverse population of learners. This is a full-time contract role, running from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with standard school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You'll collaborate with educators and social workers to offer Functional Behavioral Assessments, support the development of Behavior Intervention Plans, and contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. The role may occasionally involve counseling assistance, though social workers lead counseling initiatives. With educational diagnosticians on-site, there's no responsibility for academic achievement testing, allowing you to focus on your areas of expertise.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Virginia Department of Education certification Active Virginia Psychology license Comprehensive background in school-based assessment and consultation Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a plus Commitment to prompt credentialing, including VA Dept. of Social Services check and TB test
