Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic school environment as a dedicated school psychologist, making a positive impact through assessment, consultation, and behavioral support services. This full-time contract opportunity is located in the Washington, DC area, offering the chance to work closely with diverse students throughout two schools, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key Qualifications:
Possess an active VA DOE certification Hold an active Virginia Psychologist License Previous experience in school psychology preferred Skilled in Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, social workers, and support staff Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to complete mandatory VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide consultation services for students in PreK-12 Develop and support implementation of FBAs and BIPs Occasionally support social workers with counseling as needed Participate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives Engage with staff and families to share findings and recommendations Collaboration with educational diagnosticians who manage academic achievement assessments This on-site opportunity offers consistent hours (37.5 per week) in a collaborative educational atmosphere.
