Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week Position Overview We are seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year in Staunton, Virginia. This position serves a close-knit rural community and supports students across three nearby campuses. The role is primarily focused on evaluations, with optional opportunities to provide counseling services. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students across assigned schools Complete approximately 60 evaluations annually, including a mix of initial evaluations and re-evaluations (with a higher concentration of re-evaluations at middle and high school levels) Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed, compliant reports Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings Provide recommendations for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
Optional:
Provide counseling services based on interest and district needs
Caseload & Work Environment School Assignments:
3 campuses (1 elementary, 1 middle, 1 high school), all within 10 miles of each other
Student Population:
Primarily K-12, with occasional PreK cases
Setting:
Rural community with a supportive school environment Qualifications Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology Valid Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility Strong background in psychoeducational assessment and report writing Ability to work collaboratively across multiple school settings Additional Details Evaluation-heavy role with a manageable and structured caseload Counseling responsibilities are optional and not required Opportunity to build strong relationships across a small group of schools Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
