Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role making a difference in the lives of students in a vibrant educational community. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled School Psychologists eager to contribute expertise onsite and collaborate with passionate educators and support staff. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll have the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and foster a positive learning environment throughout the academic year, from late July to late May.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist license in Virginia Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention planning Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide insightful reports to guide educational planning Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to students Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Consult with teachers, families, and stakeholders to address academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs Design and deliver professional development and preventative programs for school staff and families Maintain timely and accurate case documentation in accordance with state and district policy Enjoy the stability of a consistent full-time schedule during the regular school calendar, allowing you to balance work and personal priorities.
