Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embrace a rewarding contract opportunity in the Winchester area, supporting local schools as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite position allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of students while working collaboratively with staff and families to foster positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Virginia Psychologist License required Experience as a School Psychologist within educational settings preferred Proficient in conducting evaluations, assessments, and providing counseling services Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional and ethical standards
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students' learning and behavioral needs Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies Participate in IEP meetings, 504 plan development, and crisis intervention efforts Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of evaluations and services provided Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment
Assignment Details:
Contract position from July 27, 2026, through May 28, 2027 37.5 hours per week onsite at designated school locations in Winchester, VA Engage in a collaborative school community dedicated to student success This is a chance to positively impact students' academic, social, and emotional development in a vibrant educational setting.
