Job Description

Hybrid School Psychologist for a 36‑week contract in Suffolk, Virginia. Provide psychological services to students, support school staff, and maintain confidentiality while working in a hybrid model. Earn up to $65 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' academic and behavioral needs through interviews, observations, and standardized tests Develop and implement intervention plans to improve student well‑being and academic performance Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success Conduct psychological evaluations and interpret results for educational planning Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions Coordinate with school counselors and special education staff to align support strategies Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed Participate in school meetings and committees to discuss student needs Facilitate workshops and training for staff on behavioral strategies Advise families on resources and support services Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly Ensure compliance with state licensing and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Master's degree in School Psychology (or equivalent) Valid School Psychologist license Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a School Psychologist or in a related educational psychology role Resume and license documentation submitted Ability to work school days and support school-based needs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Comfortable with hybrid workflows and meeting the school's documentation/assessment expectations Background check and onboarding compliance may be required
