Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on student success as an on-site School Psychologist for a full academic year in the Virginia Beach area. Qualifications & Requirements:
Active VA DOE Licensure. Active School Psychology license. Prior experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred. Strong assessment, collaboration, and communication skills. Comfortable providing direct, on-site services (virtual/VOCO work is not an option for this role). Ability to adapt in a dynamic educational environment with a varied caseload and multiple age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students. Develop and implement appropriate interventions and recommendations. Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams. Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student learning and well-being. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines. Potentially serve multiple campuses—details on assignments are forthcoming. This five-day-per-week, full-time position runs from August 31st, 2026 through June 15th, 2027, giving you the opportunity to make a lasting difference across an entire school year.
