Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a contract School Psychologist, working full-time in a vibrant educational setting near the Williamsburg, VA area. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to provide comprehensive psychological services and contribute to student success during the beginning of the academic year. The assignment runs from August 17 through October 2, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification (state-specific eligibility required) Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or related field Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting preferred Strong understanding of psycho-educational assessments, behavior interventions, and IEP processes Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Passion for supporting diverse learners and working within multi-disciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psycho-educational assessments to identify students' educational and behavioral needs Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to address student challenges and promote positive outcomes Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed Offer guidance and support to staff regarding best practices for student mental health and wellness Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines Benefits include a consistent weekday schedule, opportunities for professional growth, and the satisfaction of directly impacting student outcomes.
