Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal contract position supporting students' success for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist ready to work onsite and make a meaningful difference in a thriving educational environment near Winchester, VA. Collaborate closely with educators, families, and school staff to enhance student well-being and academic achievement across multiple school locations.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist license issued by the state of Virginia (VA Psych License required) Experience providing psychological services within a school setting (K-12 preferred) Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation Ability to work effectively onsite as part of an educational team Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities Willingness to complete the entire contract term: July 27th, 2026 - May 28th, 2027
Key Responsibilities:
Administer psychological assessments and interpret results for students needing support Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding students' learning plans Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed Participate in IEP, eligibility, and other multidisciplinary team meetings Develop and recommend strategies for academic and behavioral interventions Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and district guidelines This full-time assignment offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, providing stability and the opportunity to build strong, ongoing relationships with students and faculty.
