Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential psychological services in a dynamic educational setting near Winchester, VA. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals ready to foster student wellbeing during the upcoming academic year. You'll be part of a supportive school environment from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, working alongside talented educators and support staff.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Virginia Psychologist License required Experience working within a school setting strongly preferred Expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention for children and adolescents Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with teachers, parents, and school teams Able to work fully onsite throughout the assignment Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning Deliver direct counseling services to students, both individually and in groups Consult with teachers and administrators to develop effective interventions and strategies for student success Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in creating student-specific support plans Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing program improvement
