Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth in a dynamic educational environment near the Washington DC area. We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time contract role, providing services on-site across two school campuses from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Your schedule will offer consistent hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. In this role, you'll focus on conducting assessments and consultation, providing FBA/BIP support, with occasional involvement in MTSS planning. While there may be opportunities to collaborate with social workers on counseling, these are infrequent. Educational diagnosticians are present in every building, ensuring no academic achievement testing is required by you.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Virginia Department of Education Certification Active Virginia Psychology Licensure Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Strong knowledge of assessment tools, FBA/BIP processes, and consultation methods Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to meet all credentialing requirements, including a prompt start of the Virginia Department of Social Services background check and completion of a TB test
Key Responsibilities:
