Job Description

Job Summary The Hartford School District (SD 54) is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being through comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and collaborative problem-solving with school staff and families. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's Degree or higher and possess (or be eligible for) a School Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist license/certification. Reporting directly to the Director of Special Education and Clinical Director, the School Psychologist will work closely with evaluation teams, case managers, and educators to assess student needs, interpret assessment data, and develop appropriate intervention strategies. Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations for special education eligibility, administering and interpreting psychological assessments, consulting with teachers and families, and providing technical support on behavioral and learning challenges. The School Psychologist will collaborate with school staff, mental health professionals, and community providers to ensure a holistic approach to student success.
