Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist serving students and educators in a vibrant school setting near Auburn, WA. This position is available for immediate placement due to an unexpected opening, offering the chance for a dedicated professional to positively impact student success and well-being. Candidates who are passionate about advocacy, collaboration, and supporting the academic and emotional growth of young people will thrive in this school-based environment. Licensed school psychologists with prior school experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist in Washington state Comprehensive understanding of special education processes, IEPs, and Response to Intervention (RTI) Experience conducting assessments, developing interventions, and providing counseling in a K-12 school setting Strong communication and consultation skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Flexibility and adaptability to quickly integrate into a new school setting
Key Responsibilities:
Administer psychological and educational assessments Interpret assessment results to help guide interventions and support services Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on strategies for student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of effective educational plans Provide individualized and/or group counseling to support students' social-emotional needs Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
