Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Auburn, WA - Contract Opportunity for Experienced School Psychologist An educational institution in Auburn, WA is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable School Psychologist for a contract role. This position offers the opportunity to support students' mental health and academic success through specialized psychological services within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning, behavioral, and emotional needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support student well-being and promote positive behavior Interpret assessment data to guide instructional strategies and interventions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend services Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Desired Skills and Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working in K-12 educational settings Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families Ability to manage caseload and prioritize tasks independently Familiarity with laws such as IDEA and Section 504 is preferred
