This role is primarily counseling-focused with some assessment responsibilities.

Onsite at a maximum-security juvenile detention center (with security present)

Schedule:

Full-time Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling services to detained youth Conduct psychological assessments as needed Apply trauma-informed care practices in all interactions Support student emotional regulation, coping skills, and behavioral stabilization Participate in multidisciplinary treatment and educational planning Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with facility staff and educators

Ideal Candidate:

Strong background in trauma-informed care Calm, compassionate, and non-threatening presence Experience working with high-need or justice-involved youth strongly preferred Comfortable in a secure, structured environment

Qualifications:

Valid School Psychologist license/credential Experience in counseling-heavy or alternative education settings preferred Compensation for this position ranges from $47.24 to $67.24.
