Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in student mental wellness to a rewarding opportunity working with elementary-aged learners for the upcoming fall semester. This full-time, contract position offers you a chance to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative school environment supporting K-5 students. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through December 18, 2026, and is based at a vibrant elementary campus.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or a closely related field Current or eligibility to obtain WA Psychologist License/Certification required Experience working in a school setting, ideally with elementary (K-5) students Strong understanding of MTSS, PBIS, and data-driven interventions Ability to conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Skilled at consultation and collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators Compassionate communicator and strong advocate for student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychological services, including counseling, evaluation, and intervention strategies for K-5 students Conduct and interpret assessments for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster a positive school climate Offer guidance to staff and families to promote student growth and well-being Assist in crisis response and prevention programs as needed This role offers the chance to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds and be part of a supportive educational community.
