Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Support student success and well-being throughout the fall semester as a School Psychologist in a dynamic elementary school environment. This full-time contract opportunity will focus on K-5 students during the 2026 fall semester, providing crucial psychological services to help develop positive, effective learning environments.
Key Qualifications:
Current Washington State Psychologist license/certification, or willingness to obtain before the start date Proven experience, education, and training in school psychology Demonstrated skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention for elementary-aged students Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and administrators Strong written and verbal communication skills Dedication to cultural competency and fostering inclusive, supportive school communities
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students in grades K-5 Develop and implement individualized interventions and strategies to support social, emotional, and academic growth Collaborate with staff to create positive behavior plans and support student participation in the classroom Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators on student needs and progress Deliver direct counseling services and crisis intervention as necessary Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and other collaborative efforts to champion student success
