Job Description

PSYCHOLOGIST
(Full Time) PSIMED Corrections, LLC, a leading behavioral health provider, is seeking a full-time Psychologist to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct services such as mental health assessments, psychological evaluations, individual and group treatment, crisis management, staff consultations and reentry at the Mount Olive Correctional Complex. Job Requirements Provide direct clinical and consultation services. Communicate and work effectively with other Mental Health Services staff, WVDCR personnel, clients and outside support agencies. Provide individual and/or group therapy to clients. Provide crisis intervention services to clients. Provide evaluations of clients utilizing the administration and interpretation of psychological assessment techniques. Provide documentation in the EMR of client's treatment. Education Master's or Doctorate level degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited college or university OR finishing final semester of graduate school to obtain a Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university is required. License Requires a current license, Gold Card status as Psychologist or eligible for Gold Card or Student Gold Card by the West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Experience Must have knowledge of psychological testing, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders and psychological evaluation techniques. Previous mental health and corrections experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to deal calmly and appropriately with stressful situations. Maintain professionalism with clients and teammates. Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in accordance with PSIMED Corrections and WVDCR policies, procedures and practices. Proficient computer skills including
EMR. MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG SCREEN.
