Dr. Malcolm Hayward, Dr. Dan Bradford, and Dr. Thad Beck knew that patients do better at home, in the community where they live and work, and where their support system is already in place. In furthering that goal, Highlands has grown with the region from a single location 26 years ago, to 6 locations in Northwest and Northcentral Arkansas today employing more than 800 diverse team members. Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established clinical standards. T Job Duties /
Responsibilities:
Deliver radiation treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and departmental protocolsMaintain consistent patient setup, including skin markings, and document any changes or variationsMaintain continuous audio and visual contact with patients during treatment and proceduresComplete required documentation, including chart checks, treatment records, and physician oversightParticipate in simulation procedures as trained and assignedFollow all radiation safety standards, patient privacy regulations, and organizational policiesPerform machine-specific quality assurance proceduresManage and maintain the daily treatment schedule for the assigned therapy unitAccurately capture patient treatment chargesMaintain clean, organized, and safe treatment and work areasCollaborate with team members to support daily operations, including assisting or relieving other therapists as neededEscalate operational or workflow concerns appropriately to the Radiation Therapy Supervisor or leadership Attend departmental meetings and participate in departmental workflows and initiativesParticipate in onboarding, education, competencies, and required trainingMaintain professional standards in performance, communication, and appearancePerform other duties as assigned
