1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and Arkansas licensure for a 13-week evening shift contract in a Level I Trauma Center's Radiation Oncology Clinic specializing in proton therapy and CNS radiation oncology. Details Radiation Oncology Clinic setting within a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center CNS Radiation Oncology unit specializing in proton radiation therapy Patient population spans all ages (0-99+) Facility includes 6 clinical rooms, 1 CT scanner, and 3 therapy vaults Unit-specific procedures include Cardiac Device Interrogations, Endoscopy, HDR, and Brachytherapy Equipment includes Interrogator for Cardiac Devices, Endoscopes, and Procedural Instruments for GYN procedures Epic EMR in use Evening shift: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM, with possible variation to 12:30 PM-9:00 PM depending on patient volume and needs 40 hours per week No call or weekend requirements No float requirement Requirements Active Arkansas (AR) Radiation Therapist license required if applicable Current ARRT certification required Current BLS (AHA) certification required Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required; 2+ years preferred Previous travel experience is not required Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Perform proton radiation therapy treatments and CNS oncology procedures in a high-acuity academic medical center environment Conduct unit-specific procedures including Cardiac Device Interrogations, Endoscopy, HDR, and Brachytherapy Orientation is 5 days Royal blue scrubs required Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must live 100+ miles from the facility COVID vaccination is not required
